We donated $3,000 to provide life changing solar lights to families in Uganda.

We recently teamed up with Watts of Love on a mission they completed in Uganda to help a remote village “see”…literally. Many remote villages in this area do not have electricity and so families are forced to rely on dangerous kerosene lamps or simply live in darkness every time the sun sets. Kerosene is incredibly dangerous, especially in an underprivileged community where the resources simply do not exist to assist with fires and medical emergencies such a severe burns from fires that have been started by the lamps (both of which are sadly very common occurrences). Children are often left unattended in complete darkness while parents work at night to try and earn enough to support their families. Watts of Love provides families in these communities with a safe solar powered light that allows them to see without the use of dangerous equipment. Having access to light allows these families and children to continue working at night to increase income, to tend to animals, help with family issues.
